The Gorilla tracking to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kigali, Rwanda is designed for travelers who wish to spend less time on the road, while also saving on the cost of the gorilla permit. This is because the Kigali to Bwindi journey takes a shorter time (4 to 5hrs) as compared to the 8 to 9hrs that would be spent if one used the Entebbe to Bwindi route. Furthermore, the Uganda Gorilla trekking permit is also cheaper as it costs only $600 as compared to $1500 of the Rwanda gorilla trekking. This kind of arrangement makes the safari more interesting but less costly, making it feasible as one can fly in to Rwanda and trek gorillas from Bwindi.

DAY 1: Nairobi – Kigali

Upon arrival Nairobi, you will connect Air Rwanda that departs Nairobi at 11:00 am. Afternoon go on Kigali city tour – visiting the Genocide memorial site, city markets, artisan shops and the former presidential palace museum. Overnight Park Inn by Radisson Kigali

DAY 2: Kigali - Bwindi

You will be picked from the hotel by our guide and transferred to Bwindi national park to start your for day Gorilla trekking from Kigali. You will cross over to Uganda via the Kyanika /katuna border for a stopover .The journey will enable you to view the kigezi hills characterized by the rolling hills and beautiful valleys. You will then proceed to Bwindi national park for an overnight. Drive time: 4/5hours Lodge: Bakiga lodge. http://bakigalodge.org/

DAY 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After early morning breakfast, you will leave the lodge with your packed lunch and head to the park for briefing. You will then be briefed on the Dos and don'ts and be allocated the group you will track .please note that tracking can be tiresome and strenuous so you need to inform your guide about your level of fitness. You will then proceed to track with your guide that will provide you with any information you may want to know. You will be allowed to do photography but not exceeding an hour. You will proceed back to the headquarters to get your gorilla tracking certificate. Then head back to the lodge for your overnight. Lodge: Bakiga lodge Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

DAY 4: Transfer to Kigali and fly back to Nairobi

After breakfast, our guide will transfer you back to Kigali for your evening flight back to Nairobi. You will be met at the airport on arrival. Transfer to the Boma hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 5: Nairobi - Amboseli

Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel to the Amboseli National reserve at the foot of snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Kibo safari camp.

DAY 6: Amboseli

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive at the national park. Weather permitting the clouds will shear off, leaving you mesmerized by the majesty of the Kilimanjaro and its gleaming snow capped peaks. Today shall be spent exploring the Amboseli National park on unlimited game viewing drives. Overnight the same luxury camp.

DAY 7: Amboseli - Lake Naivasha.

Proceed to the lake Naivasha on the floors of the great rift valley. An easy relaxed sightseeing drive takes you via the great Rift valley escarpment. Arrive at lake Naivasha in time for lunch at sopa lodge. In the afternoon visit hells gate national park, visit the gorge on bicycle and late in the evening, there shall be a boat ride to crescent island. Lake Naivasha is a hotbed of outdoor activities! Dinner and overnight lake Naivasha Sopa resort.

DAY 8: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara Game reserve

Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve. There shall be stops at scenic places along the way. Afternoon game viewing drives at the Masai Mara. Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara camp.

DAY 9: Masai Mara Game Reserve

The whole day shall be spent at the Masai Mara on unlimited game viewing drives. (Opportunities for optional balloon ride excursion) The Masai Mara ecosystem hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq km than any other game reserve in the region. Elephant, lion, cheetah, buffalo, antelope, warthog, hyena and many more animal species may be seen. Simply stated, the Masai Mara is a one stop park for game and scenery viewing. You shall carry a picnic lunch and spend the entire days on game viewing drives for maximum wildlife sightings. Overnight at the luxury camp.

DAY 10: Masai Mara - Serengeti Game reserve.

Depart Masai Mara and proceed to the Serengeti in Tanzania. The drive is via the Isebania Kenya / Tanzania border town. The Serengeti shares the same ecosystem with the Masai Mara game reserve. Ideally Masai Mara is the smaller extension of the Serengeti. It is well located for game viewing drives together with optional activities including guided nature or bird walks. Enroute game drive as we transfer to our camp, Serengeti Heritage camp in central Serengeti for dinner and overnight arrangements.

DAY 11: Serengeti Game Reserve

A full day game viewing drive as we explore this vast nature endowed with abundant wildlife. Options of morning and afternoon or full day game viewing sessions are available to you. The annual wildebeest migration is Serengeti's most famous attraction. Other wildlife you may see includes cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thompson and Grant's gazelle, Eland, Impala, Klipspringer, Hippo and Warthog. Overnight at Serengeti Heritage tented lodge.

DAY 12: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Depart the Serengeti with picnic lunches, descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing in this unique caldera park. We shall look out for Rhino, Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalo and Hippo. Later we ascend to the crater rim. Catch a glimpse of the most magnificent sunset views in Africa from the crater rim!. Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge

DAY 13: Ngorongoro - Tarangire National Park

Sunrise views from the crater rim. Proceed to the Tarangire National Park. An afternoon game drive gives you a chance to see different types of wildlife which inhabit this small but beautiful park. Overnight at Tarangire Simba lodge.

DAY 14: Tarangire National Park - Arusha - Zanzibar

Morning game drive followed by lunch in Arusha. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met by our local representative. Transfer to Nugwi Dreams by Mantis.

DAY 15 & 16: Beach at leisure

Solid two days of beach experience. Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport to connect your outbound flight back home.
